I just recently finished binge watching Just Between Lovers aka Rain or Shine and loved it! For those trying to complete the 2022 kdrama challenge, I made a list of categories it can fit in-some will depend on your personal circumstances. 3. A drama that won an award in the r/KDRAMA awards. It tied for best romance in the 2018 genre awards. 6. A drama featured in a meme/screencap post on r/KDRAMA see xnphile's post below. 8. Drama set in the season you were born-if born in fall or winter 9. Drama featured on the r/kdrama banner list 11. A drama that came out the year you joined the subreddit-2017 14. A drama featuring a found family Lee Gang Du has several people around him, "granny," the hostess club owner, his good friend Sang Man, and his landlady. Ha Mun Su has her good friend, as well as the auntie who helps run her mom's bathhouse. 16. A drama starring a Kpop girl/boy group member that debuted before 2010 Jun Ho is a member of 2pm, which debuted in 2008 18. A drama inspired by a review written in r/KDRAMA There are several such reviews. well, at least on r/kdramarecommends. I'm not sure if posts on that forum count. Maybe if you read this review before watching, it will count! 19. A drama that shows your profession or lifestyle doctor, architect, construction, hair dresser, webtoon writer-not sure how to classify Ha Mun Su's profession-she builds architectural models. 20. A drama set in multiple timelines There are several flashbacks and we learn more of the story of the tragedy. 23. A drama featuring sandwich product placement-it's subtle, but in one of the episodes, the main character brings Subway sandwiches back to the office. 24. A drama where one of the lead actors contributed an OST to the drama. Jun Ho contributed an OST. 27. A drama featuring a randomly selected trope. Some of the featured tropes the last two depend on how the trope must be interpreted a. loan sharks b. wrist graps c. piggy back ride d. childhood connection e. drinking herbal tea for interpretation-missing the last boat. They don't, but the female lead references it. g. staying for ramen. Again, not sure how this is meant to be interpreted. Do the leads actually have to use staying for ramen as code for sex, or if the leads just have to sleep together. 31. A drama featuring an umbrella on one of the promotional posters This drama is about two people who suffered through a tragic accident together in the not-so-distant past. Their paths cross and they find love and healing as they deal with their past trauma. What I liked about the drama The OTP. I found the chemistry between the OTP to be amazing. It's a very different feeling than most romcoms; it's not so much about "sparks" and heart fluttering moments, but rather about a deepening trust and an emotional connection that is built on something more than attraction. Their physical relationship is more believable than others; they communicate well generally, and they stay by each other's sides. The connection is established much earlier on in this drama than in most romances. There are relatively few tropes in this drama, compared to others. Yes, I've mentioned a few above, but the drama doesn't feel tropey. Most of the tropes fit organically in the story. Some but not all of the side stories. I loved the ML Gang Du's relationship with his "found family," especially with his "granny." Their relationship was deep and caring. His relationship with the landlady's son, Sang Man, is also beautiful. There's a moment when Sang Man talks about God blessing Gang Du by sending someone good into his life, and Gang Du quietly remarks that Sang Du is one of those blessings sent to him. The cinematography. This drama was so beautifully filmed. Some of the scenes, especially on the docks either at sunset or sunrise, are breathtaking. What I liked less. I didn't love all of the side stories. The shouty CEO of the construction company who seemed too much a caricature. I wasn't that taken by the story of Mun Su's friend, the webtoon writer. And I didn't care too much for the second leads. This got a bit angsty at times. It's not a light, fluffy watch by any stretch of the imagination! Watch this if you like slow, contemplative dramas that are beautifully filmed you like complex characters you like realistic romance with no love triangles you like dramas that are relatively free of tropes Don't watch this if you don't like angst you can't stand any noble idiocy

Justbetween lovers is the type of drama that you should never suggest to someone that you love dearly. Unless if you love seeing the people that you love breaking down because of the many scenes of tragic drama land. They'll cry. They'll contemplate their life choices. They will perish. Slightly dramatic, but Just between lovers is a tragic drama.
Link. 16 episodes - Mon, Tues 23:00. Also known as "Rain or Shine" and "Just Lovers". Synopsis. "Just Between Lovers" is about the people who are great because they suffer fantastically through life. They live lives that full of obstacles and still deliver a message of hope and love. Its really beautiful and the main leads are interesting, especially the male lead. He's a unique character and the actor who plays him is so subtle and touching. I definitely recommend it. Also, it's not a comedy but it's not as dark and heavy as some reviews I've seen online say it is. - Explore manemofrad's board "just between lovers" on Pinterest. See more ideas about korean drama, kdrama, lee junho. JustBetween Lovers is such an incredible Korean drama. I was always looking forward to the next episode and wishing it wasn't coming to an end. This is now my favourite drama and one that would never forget. I would say that the story line really hit home to me, it made me feel all kind of emotions but it never got confusing. .
