littleanimal< if you need to call canada ONLY, then its much much cheaper to buy an IDD Card from the phone shops. Choose one that is cheapest to Canada and get a RM 10 SIM card just for receiving calls and sms. IDD cards are sold at most phone shops in the malls and the booths near the monorail/lrt stations.
Same goes for the malls. Best walk into a shop that sells a few plans and tell them how and what you use it sim card for. For international roaming, most plans start at RM 2.50 per min for incoming and outcoming calls. So if you are trying to call Bangladesh from bali or singapore, expect to pay about RM 3.00 per min.

I havent gone in the last couple of years due to covid, but if things are back to normal there will be several booths prior to the arrival exit..they use the airport exchange rate when purchasing.
